Appreciate the ways of water harvesting in olden times and modern times.
Get sensitized towards protection of environment.

Define thecommunity services and illustrate the role of community services in building a peaceful society.
List the community services in olden times and modern times.
Explain the importance of mother nature.
Content Flow
Day1:- Brain storming session- The teacher will ask the pre reading question.
Who cleans your school?
Who cures you when you are sick?
Who cuts your hair?
Learners discuss in peer-groups(interaction session) what community services they use?(ppt will be shown)
Homework:-Make a list of tha persons who help you along with the area of help(except your family)
Day2 :-The teacher will introduce the learners the types of community services i.e comfort of travellers, tree plantation, sources of water. (Illustrative method)
Homework:-Read lesson 5(Page 35,36,)
Day3:- The teacher will discuss water harvesting in olden times.
(Explanation method)
Homework:-Read lesson -5(Page 37,38)
Day4:- The teacher will introduce community service provided by govt. In modern times like water and electric supply,hospital,school, roads,market, sanitation.(inductive method)
Homework:-Read lesson-5(Page-39,40)
Day5:- The teacher and learner will discuss the importance of mother nature and book exercise.(Discussion method)
Homework:-Read lesson-5(Page 41) and Revise part A,B,C of Book exercise
Day6:-The teacher learner will discuss textual question
