WASTE MANAGEMENT IV GEETA KHATRI

Duration : 6 periods


Learning Outcomes- At the end of lesson the students will be able to
  1. Identify the importance of waste management in the society.
  2. Recognize different types of wastes.
  3. Become aware of the importance of recycling and ways of disposing the wastes.
  4. Aware about the responsibility to protect our environment.

Learning objectives –the students will be able to
  1. Know and define waste and compost.
  2. List and define the types of waste.
  3. Distinguish between Biodegradable waste and non Biodegradable waste.
  4. Understand the methods of reducing waste.
  5. Define Recycling.
  6. Explain the different ways of disposing.
  7. List 4 rules of waste disposals and its importance.



Content flow
The lesson will be started with a video segregation of waste.

Day1 Introduction of the lesson
  • Types of wastes: Dramatization
  • Biodegradable waste and non Biodegradable waste(ppt will be shown to the students).
Homework: Read pg 1 of lesson-6
Day2: Different ways of disposing the waste
  • Visit to site
  • Interactive method
  • Various Objective type questions will be asked to assess the comprehension of students.
Homework: Read different ways of disposing the waste
Day3: Recycling
  • Live example and flash cards will be shown to the students to explain recycling.
  • Group Discussion on importance of recycling.
  • Various objective type Questions will be asked to assess the comprehension of the students.
  • Model reading by the students simultaneously explanation of the chapter by the teacher.
Homework: Read lesson-6
Day4: Textual Exercise
Discussion on Part A,B and C,E of lesson-6
Homework: Learn book exercise of lesson-6

Day5: Textual Question/Ans.
  • Discussion on textual Question/Ans.
Homework: Learn Question/Ans. Of Lesson-6

Day6: Value based and life skills Questions
  • Discussion on Value Based and Life Skills Questions.

Homework: Learn value based Question/Ans. Of Lesson-6
