Learning Outcomes:- At the end of lesson the students will be able to
  • Recognize the importance of clean house.
  • Identify the ways of waste disposal.
  • Identify the importance of recycling.
  • Aware about the ill effects of garbage on health.
  • Aware and become sensitive about cleanliness of their surroundings and their pet’s living place.
  • Aware about the responsibilities to protect our environment.

Learning objectives: –The students will be able to
  1. List the ways of keeping their homes clean.
  2. Define the importance of a clean home.
  3. List the ways of disposing the waste.
  4. Define recycling and list its importance.
  5. List the disadvantages of garbage heaps.
  6. List the 3 R’s of garbage disposal.
  7. List and define the ways to keep their pet’s living place clean.



Content flow

Day1 Features and importance of clean home
  • Pictures of homes will be shown.
  • Explanation of topic with ppt.
Homework: Read pg 1 of lesson-10
Day2: Garbage disposal and disadvantages of garbage heaps.
  • Group discussion
  • Dramatization
  • Video clips(https://www.youtube.com/watchPV =4PaaR1B0b2w)
  • Various Objective type questions will be asked to assess the comprehension of students.
Homework: Read different ways of disposing the garbage.
Day3: Recycling and Three R’s of garbage disposal .
  • Live examples and flash cards will be shown to the students to explain recycling.
  • Group Discussion on importance of recycling.
  • Various objective type Questions will be asked to assess the comprehension of the students.
Homework: Read lesson-10



Day4: Our pets sharing our shelters and Textual Exercise
  • Live examples given by students
  • Discussion on Part A,B and C of lesson-10
Homework: Learn book exercise of lesson-10
Day5: Textual Question/Ans.
  • Discussion on textual Question/Ans.

Day6: Value based and life skills Questions
