Understand the importance of occupation.
Know various jobs.
Respect various jobs.

After completing the lesson students will be able to-
Define Occupation.
Explain the need of occupation.
Give example of the work that can be learnt at home.
List the jobs that require training skills.
Distinguish between various types of jobs.
Content Flow-
Day 1
1-Video
Teacher will start the lesson by showing video on occupations.

2- Flash Card
Teacher will show flash card of tools of various occupations and help the students understand the meaning of occupation.
Day 2 and Day 3
3-Role Play
Individual enactment on people who help them in market, school,hospital.
With this the teacher will make students understand and compare various types of jobs by showing PPT.
Day 4
Question answers will be taken up.
Q1. Define occupation.
Q2.Complete the G.O by naming the things made by kumhars.
Day 5
4-Story Narration (Appendix 1)
Story developed by the teacher to explain the meaning of Medical Tourism.
Role of famous Engineer (Metro Man) will be taken up.
Role of engineer will be discussed with the help of G.0.

Story Narration- Teacher will narrate a story to explain the meaning of medical tourism.
One day an old man had a severe back pain. His wife gave him medicines but he did not got any relief. In the evening his friend visited his place and when they came to know about his back pain they told his wife to take him to Kerala where through Ayurveda treatment his back pain will be cured. So the teacher explained the students as this old man came from some other place in order to cure his backpain so this is called medical tourism.
