         explain the growth of the Mughal   Empire.

         list the Mughal rulers and compare their achievements. 

         illustrate the development in the field of literature, art and architecture, cultural advancement, justice, the prosperity of the empire, and conquests.

         explain the absence of the law of succession and degeneration of the Mughal nobility.


Content flow

Teacher will introduce a mnemonic to make the students remember the sequential order of the Mughal rulers.

         Political condition of India in early sixteenth century
         Mughal Emperors-Babur, Humayun, Akbar, Jahangir, Shahjahan, Aurangzeb
         Governance under Mughal Empire-Administration, Society and Economy, Religion, Literature, Art and Architecture,
         Decline of Mughal Empire.


Teaching Strategy/Methodology

         Explanation & Discussion - The teacher will explain and discuss the politico-socio-economic conditions of India under the Great Mughals. The battles will be explained with consequence and sequel method.
         Activity Method-With the help of Timeline, chronology of Mughal rulers will be discussed..
         Experiential learning - Students will be taken for educational tour.
         Illustration Method-Movie /video, PPT related to the topics will be shown.
