Brain storming activity will be introduced in the class so that students will come up with terms like drainage, drainage basin etc.

Teacher will use the white board and draw diagrams to make studentunderstand the concept of water divide and various drainage patterns.

The teacher will hold an interactive session where students will be encouraged to compare and contrast the characteristics of Himalayan and Peninsular rivers.

Articles from the newspaper will be shown to the students so that they can identify reasons responsible for river pollution and show concern towards their conservation.


Later on a collage making(group activity)
will be done by the students on topic river pollution.

The teacher will conduct remedial class for those who’s performance will be below average. He/She may simplify the difficult content of the sub topics and distribute to the students in the form of handouts and explain the terms/concepts again if needed
