CONTENT FLOW:

	CONCEPT	TEACHING STRATEGY/METHODOLOGY
1	INTRODUCTION	Brain storming activity will be introduced in the class so that students will come up with terms like drainage, drainage basin etc.
2	DRAINAGE BASIN	Teacher will use the white board and draw diagrams to make studentunderstand the concept of water divide and various drainage patterns.

3	FEATURES FORMED BY THE	With the help of video, the various features formed by the rivers will beexplain to students.

4	HIMALAYAN AND PENINSULAR RIVERS	The teacher will hold an interactive session where students will be encouraged to compare and contrast the characteristics of Himalayan and Peninsular rivers.
5	MAJOR HIMALAYAN AND	With the help of  smart board and atlas students will be encouraged tolocate and label rivers on the outline map of India.

7	RIVER POLLUTION	Articles from the newspaper will be shown to the students so that they can identify reasons responsible for river pollution and show concern towards their conservation.
		Later on a collage making(group activity) will be done by the students on topic river pollution.
