Learning Objectives:

Students shall be able to:

Locate the immediate neighbors on the map of India.
 Compare and Enlist the similarity of languages, food, dresses with our neighboring countries.
Draw out the similarity and difference between Hindi and Urdu.
Identify the issues of conflict between India & her neighbours.
Enlist the suggestions to improve our bonds with our neighbours.

To understand the value of peace policy followed by India
To appreciate the cultural bond with our neighbours.
To respect the similarities of dresses, language & food with our neighbours.
To sensitize the ways to improve all relations with our neighbours.

Day 4 & 5 (SAARC) PPT shall be prepared by the students and Book excercises

Day 6    Project work  Flags of neighbouring countries
Newspaper activity
Day 7 n 8   Dramatisation ,Fancy Dress ,Lets sing together-
Dramatisation shall be done. Based on language similartiy.
Fancy Dress shall be held to show similarity in dresses
Lets sing together- Folk songs of various countries shall be listened to and sung

Day 9  Excursion Trips-students shall be taken to visit the trade fairs and other such exhibitions showcasing different countries
Day 10  lets recapitulate n Book excercises
The chapter shall be recapitulated and interactive session shall be held wherein students shall be given chance to discuss what they learnt in the chapter

Mapwork shall be redone discussing about location of neighboring countries
Video clipping showing dresses and culture of different countries shall be shown and students will be asked to recognise the same
Causes of conflict between two countries shall be discussed emphasizing on need for the Peace Policy.
