Learning Outcome:
The students will apply their understanding in this lesson to :
·        become aware of the various materials used for making a piece of cloth and its origin e.g. silk comes from silk worm.
·        know different types of dresses used in different corners of India.
·         understand the importance of some particular dresses like burka ,safa that are particularly worn by few people of India like Rajasthan, Lucknow.

  Learning objective:
Students will be able to
·        list the reasons behind diversity in culture through different types of dresses.
·         distinguish between different types of clothes and have a broader concept of the real culture of India which lies under its ethnic style.
·        List the reasons behind wearing safa by men in different parts of the country.
·         compare the trends followed by their grandparents , their parents and them .

Flash cards will be made by the students with pictures of different types of dresses worn in different states.They will be told to speak 5 lines on their presentation ,eg. they will discuss the climate of the place where saree is worn.Their assessment wil be done considering these points.

Role play:The students will be divided into groups representing different states and its dresses.
