LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Students will be able to:
·        Identify the role of natural forces causing changes in the earth landforms
·        Analyze the importance of Himalayas as Climatic Divide
·        Assess the role of northern plains as food bowl of India
·        Distinguish between Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats
·        Locate, label and identify various mountain passes, peaks and other important physical features of India on the outline political map of India

CONTENT FLOW:
 (DAY 1): The students will be shown illustrations/pictures of various landforms.They will be asked to classify the pictures shown into different categories.Further the students will be asked to explain the criteria of classification.Taking these responses from the students, the teacher would further ask them whether there is uniformity in landforms on the earth or not.After this discussion, the topic will be introduced in the class.
